Donation

Established in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) organization, Bridges raises funding through private donations, events and seek grant funding to support its activities.  Unless funded through insurance, state or federal programs, many clients are unable to access the resources offered through Bridges on a one-to-one basis.

Additionally, Bridges currently owns three horses, who board and health maintenance is covered through Bridges.  Some of the horses that are available for use in Bridges are paid for by individual donors who then grant Bridges permission to utilize their horses in the program.  Though care for the horses can fluctuate given individual needs of the animal and health condition, costs associated with the board and care of the horses range from $750 to $1,000/ month or approximately $12,000/ year.

Over the years, Bridges has been the grateful recipient of a variety of in-kind donations, which may range from equipment and horse clothes, to specialized therapeutic support, to upgrading the footing for the indoor ring.  The Program is highly receptive to coordinated in-kind donations.
